VIMEO taking down PAVZO FASHION CHANNEL – 10 July 2019

It is not easy to say this at all… After more than 10 years of its existence, after becoming the BIGGEST Fashion Film Video Channel in the world and reaching the TOP pages on Google almost anywhere on internet, VIMEO decided to KILL my profile tonight – and to disable my Fashion channel as well.

There was no warning, no explanation whatsoever, it was a simple shutting down the whole thing. Although I am a bit shocked right now, I can’t say it wasn’t expected at all – My channel was under attack from Vimeo’s staff for years and years, deleting literally thousands and thousands of members’s fashion videos and productions.

As the usual corporate world operates – it was a hard competition and they knew it and they (VIMEO) were playing for years the hard game to get all the viewers towards their own channels and NOT my channel (also hosted on their platform of course), yet it wasn’t enough for them.

The issue reached the point, my channel had more and better quality videos in it, followed by the massive trust in the selection of the best videos there to be reviewed and published… And you can tell by the gigantic amount of viewers, the following and the 99% of the industry professionals that took part of building this as a credible place to learn, to showcase and share your work.

Have nothing more to add to this. I’ve always had my problems with Vimeo, I always knew a day like this one will inevitably come, and it did. They managed to pull the whole thing out finally – BRAVO #Vimeo.

The ship is sinking and with a massive speed and you’ll have to fix your Artificial Intelligence or your IT teams faster than you can predict before everyone move to other competitor platforms. As you know – they are there and waiting for your mistake. It is very easy to spot now your’re turning yourself in the next data-mining company, hiding by the endless T&Cs hidden in the fine print and actually selling everything your hands can reach to the third party companies.

It is a very sad day for me to see more than 10 years of hard work gone now but I am way more sad for all the thousands and thousands of hard work hours of the industry people, that were investing and showing their videos there, participating in Fashion Film Festivals, winning awards.

Not the case anymore I guess…
